Lets hear what was the oldest and newest Mopars you've built and/or driven. The oldest was a 56 Dodge. It was a Coronet, I think. It was a running car, that a friend left in my back yard, for years. One year, the local PBS station, was having their auction. I got my buddy to let me have the car. I built/painted it. I got a local paint shop, to do, a flame job and lettering. Also got a limo service to take the winning bidder to and from the derby. If I remember right, the guy won best looking, and had a blast with it. The newest was a 73 New Yorker. I built this, to run up in Truckee, Calif. That was a long up hill tow! I painted it bright red, with big white poka-dots. Got pushed up on the logs , by a 70 something Cad. But I won the make-up heat . Then in the main, I was doing pretty good with it, when I went head to head, with that same Cad. That was all she wrote . I should have used it better . But still had fun with it ;D. Steve

this is the '63 i ran last year.should have kept it but sent it to the crusher.in the second pic. you can see damage to the roof of my car. backed under some guy and the damage is from his rear end hitting the roof. kinda cool when you look back and can see a drive shaft turning out the rear window.

Looks like those may have done better if a front bumper change was allowed the stockers fold way to easy I know I left the stocker on mine and wont do that agian.

if the rules let me i would have changed the bumpers.pretty much run all stock shows and not allowed to swap. those cars are really tuff though.all the damage to the fronts of both of them is cosmetic. have to replace a bearing in the rear and the one with the pipes will go again next summer. will run against alot of newer junk, hopefully she can win one more heat.then i'll take it out against the big cars in the feature and let them finish it off.

Chris, It didn't really do to well. It was a fun car to build, and paint. But it just didn't fair well, against the newer style cars. If you just want to have some fun, it would be good to do. I would again, just to be silly. And if there's a best looking contest, you would have a good chance of winning that. Keep in mind, this was a spot weld and chain derby.
