compress and weld the shocks, tuck and notch or atleast dimple it pretty good.

Make sure you drill a hole and drain as much of the shock fluid as you can . DO NOT use a torch and just blow a hole . The oil inside will catch fire , it will splatter , it will stink like azz . Btw , in some circumstance it can explode too .

i drilled mine w/ a welder. lol. well i drilled it first then burnt a few holes in it w/ a welder and it started on fire. if u can get away w/ it drill a hole all the way threw the shock, then put a bolt in it. tighten the bolt down and weld it again. it might not make that big of a diffrence, but it still might.

Doba , what's your rules like ? Can you swap out the sub at all ? Can you weld on the sub you got in it now ?

Never ran one Doba. But I'd collapse the shocks, and weld it up. As for the way to set up the rear, take a look in the Y-frame section.

i run shockers all the time and when i add leafs i keep the the arch to them and eventually they bend where the stock shocker does if i straight stack em with 9 leafs all the same length should i expect it to bend at the same place ??

Rebolt the front clip in with like 3/4 or 1 inch bolts on any mopar..

Does a 83 New Yorker/5th. Ave have good bumpers? Not that good with new Mopars, so not really sure.

No ! They have crappy bumpers ! Best bumper I found for that application is a cordoba bumper. The back bumpers will be fine however .
