Shorty, Have you ever built a 2 door lebaron? Any tips? I know the basic dippy tricks...The rules are stock, chain and some all thread, no welding. If ya got something that is a secret you could pm me! If not I understand, I know some things are a builder secret. I know that this is a good mid sized car but I think that I'm going to run it with the 70's iron. This particular show is'nt that hard. I know that I'll have to drive smart and outdrive. Let me know any thoughts! Thanks!

do you have a pic of the lebaron, i found a car, it has the imperial bird on the marker lights, i couldn't get under it to look at the frame or bumper, i'm wondering if it's a 74-75 or just a newer lebaron with the imperial bird on it

Myself , no . I have learned that most tudor cars are weak behind the doors though . They just have a tendency to cave in a little easier there . Definately put in a seat bar there . Here we are allowed to put in 2 door bars , driverside & passengerside . Run those diagonally. Run them from the dash bar to the floor just pass the seat th alotted amount, 4",6", etc . I dunno if it actially helps , but seems to .

hey chris what year car is it? Some 70- 73 imperial had the lebaron on the quarter panels also. The lebaron had two different ways 1 was a chrysler lebaron a car or a top of the line car like chrysler imperial lebaron, chrysler nyer lebaron brougham.

Fordboy, If allowed, take and run about 4 bolts thru the bottom of doors, and out the bottom of rocker panels. Use some good size ones, with big washers. This will help keep the doors where they belong. If you could, run bolts all arounf them. Also, take the door jam locks out. This alllows the door to close a bit more, and(I think) make it a bit stronger. These work good for 4 doors also.

i saw the bird on the front marker light, it's not an older one, because it's not big enough, and it don't have the big wraparound bumper, trust me i know an imperial when i see one i think it's one like slam's pic i'm not sure if it has those same bodylines or not though

Just a piece of advice ! Don't take these cars out and run them all out thinking that your gonna dominate the entire show . I've ran/built loads of these cars and they aren't for a trackshot driver . They are a tuner , learner , rage control car . These cars will teach you how to run , teach you how to hit , and once you learn how to build 1 , teach you how to think under pressure in the arena . Ok !

Aw he!! Shorty! I don't get too serious! I realize this car is'nt what I usually build, or take the abuse, my big cars take! I thought it would be fun to put a little time in this car and run it!

I lost to a shocker subbed 72 Fury wagon, a Roundback, and I can't remember what the others were. Basically it was a mixture of older Gm, Mopars, and Fords with one or two 80's mixed in.

Don't get me wrong , they are good cars to run ! My son took out a round back with 1 .

Well I doubt I'll see any round backs, but it will be most likely like last year when I watched... There was a late 70's ford, some '71-'76 gm good stuff, a couple of good chryslers and that's all I recall , off hand. A pretty good mix, some built some not. Hopefully, I'll have some luck like Slam had with his! We'll see! Any build advice would be appreciated.

well then to quote Appollo Creed's boxing trainer , from " Rocky II " You gotta stick and move " ! , They'll bust you up otherwise . The 1 thing I liked mostly about these cars is manuveribility . You can stick it to a car then run,,,,,,,,!

Will a pointy off of a 78 nyker, or a flat off a 74 newport work, or are they too hard? I have both, any preferance?

From my stand point ? 78 nyker, 76 aspen bumper , Cordoba bumper , Flat bumper off that LeBaron . I liked the doby bumper the best over all .

78 nyer bumper are still to wide, but I do agree with shorty go with a doba bumper if you can get one.

You want a 76 Volare'/aspen bumper ? there's 1 at the local junkyard I could prolly pick them up fairly cheap , but the shipping might be costly , lol.
