You need to prebend or notch the rear... Also take the gate off, seems to help.

If your allowed leaf it ;D i v-cut the rear rail's, cut off the window area of the hatch so it's got just a small decklid ,pound down the rear pillar's double roll the rear wheelwells, and flatten the lower part of the rear 1/4's up flat to the bottom side of the trunk ,change front bumper .

When you v notch the rear rails, spread one side of the v out so when the v closes, one side of the v slides inside the other. Leave the hatch on.

ran an 80 vette last year, did great. no v no nothing.same front bumper ect. ran it two times till the frame was on the ground.good car to use front or rear, but front is a little stronger bends up like the big cars . rid it of all wiring except toggle and starter button.to knoch it is good but if you keep the stock tank not so good . run 14" wheels on the front keep the 13"s on the back. cut the rear wheel wells for clearance ,as much as allowed. weld a bar in where the dash should be there vary week there ,also behind the seat. CHAIN THE MOTOR DOWN there mounts are vary week. weld the rear to then you cant stop them. good luck
