i try to stay a way from the ngk and other jap plugs seams like they cant handle the flooding or getting deposits on them like some of the other plugs like ac auto lighs ..champions .... see it in cold weather on cars that wont start

Another thing to consider on plugs. If you don't have to run one heat range hotter to compensate for Carb or internal trouble .....don't. It actually hurts peformance and causes a overheating engine to detonate more than it is already trying to. Leaving more of a chance to frag a piston. If you are looking for power and wanting it from your spark plugs...Index them, it adds two legitimate horses and only costs time. Oh and I run delco plugs in a GM, autolite in a ford and champion in a mopar. Dunno why it is just what mine have ran best on. You can take bosch and split fire and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. Biggest waste of money I have seen yet.

I like the Autolite plugs, for everything. They just seem to work better for me. If I couldn't find Autolite, I'd go Champion.

If you lose a radiator then change them before the next run plugs dont like the heat that well and could missfire if not changed.

well i work for an automotive parts company, and from what i've seen, the autolite platinum, and double platinum are some of the best, and if you want something a little more pricey, the bosch 2's are about 3.99 each and the bosch 4's are around 5.99 each, and them are pretty good as well.

ac delco #2 Rapid fires. They are good enough to make a bad oil burner run good without fouling plugs. Chad ;D

AC Delco - R45T
|
|
|
Post by chris426 on Dec 17, 2005 1:11:26 GMT -5
what does the numbers mean? is it the lower the number the hotter the plug or the higher the number? ac delcos are alright, but me personally i like platinum or double platinum, they last alot longer. jess just make sure when you go to get em, you tell em the r45t, because the r45's have different threads than the r45ts or the 45t's all these dang part numbers confuse me sometimes, so i just go with whatever the computer says.
