going to change a 302 over to from fuel inj. to carb. along with that i have a set of worked heads to put on.my question is should i go with a mild cam or something more aggresive? what are the pro's and con's of each?

I think the most agressive cam change I'd go for is the RV cam . I'm not real crazy about alot of frump for a derby motor . Just get your car / engine set up for lowend torque . The way I see most of your hits will be from 20-30 feet anyway. That's unless your like some of the others and like full track shots , but those are risky .

I never run anything but a stock engine. But if I was going to, I agree with Shorty.

I agree with shorty also check your card that comes with the cam you will be doing low rpm hits unless you run a stall so a big cam will just load you up and flood your plugs.

thanks guys.didn't think a big cam was a great idea but figured i'd ask. this will be the first motor i've ran that is not stock.i just want to get rid of all the electrical crap and those heads need a home.
