I was just curious. What do you run? Stock ratio, or what gear? Do you have a built engine? What C.I. or do you run the stock engine? How about the Trans. Do you run it as is, or rebuild it, shift kit? I used to run the stock engine/trans/ring and pinion. This year I rebuilt a 350 chevy, 4.56 ring and pinion, and rebuilt my trans, no shift kit. This will be my, car to car set up, from now on. What's your set up? ??What do you do?

right now i have a 318 with a 727 out of a 3/4 ton 77 dodge van that had the heavy duty tow package and all in it, the tranny is a heavy duty version, i run 4:56 gears in my 83/4 rear in my 64 imperial with the 318 i'm thinkin about building a 360, have it balanced, and all to keep from throwing a rod, and build it kinda loose so it aint so much friction on everything, and i'm gonna get my tranny freshened up, and put a tow kit, or shift kit in it, i'm gonna talk to my tranny man who use to derby mopars and see what he thinks as far as the tranny but for this season i'm gonna find a mild cam to put on the 318, and a bigger carb possibly a 4bbl, or a 500 holley, thinking about gettin the dremel out, and porting the intake, and the heads

We've never really done anything to the drivetrain. Just stock stuff. We might put a different engine in, but it's stock. Oh, we might put a different carb or dist on, but that's it.

small block chevy 305 w/350 heads, 454/454 cam, eldelbrock performer intake, eldelbrock 600 carb, hei distributor. Fresh 350 trans no shift kit. 31 spline ford nine inch with 4.86 gears. Thats my setup. starts good hot (250+) and has plenty of power. it is cold blooded though.
