started demos a few years back and am thinking of sticking with the compact cars. a few of the guys that i run against i have heard that they have there computers reprogramed. wondering if this is something worth doing or not. if so what sould a guy reprogram to make it worth while?

Asked the same question about my daily driver . Turns out if you have a hyper hip in then the programability is there . stock chip leaves very little inprovement .

what about going through and deleting out everything that is not need but the bare essentials so your motor runs better??

Shorty is %100 correct. Factory stock computers leave no room for changes,,,,but there are aftermarket performance computers/chips for practically everything, but some can get pretty costly. I recomend calling your local performance/speed shop & ask about cost vs horsepower & torque improvements, then decide if its worth it.
