Just like they do every year around this time, the local city council has decided to go to war on "junk" cars. now, "any vehicle that is un-licensed or not running for over thirty days must either be on a licenced car dealership lot, licensed junk yard, or in an inclosed and covered building (shed). if this is not met, the cars can be towed and crushed at the owners expense" I'm sure this isn't just a local issue. something needs to be done against local municipalities and even states plundering our hobby. They don't care that demo derby is getting expensive enough for us builders/drivers. They dont think that without us, there would be no derbies. there would be no people filling up bleachers that help to fund local fair boards, etc. I'll end here before I start typing words that amy and co. won't enjoy seeing. but it just p!sses me off.

Ya, that sucks! I think that it was DerbyPro(RIP, if it's dead?) where I read that derby cars fall into that recreational sport vehicle loophole. Like if you had a boat, Ect. on your property. I can't rember all of the specifics but, maybe it's in your local ordinances, maybe you can use it against them. I have also had some issues with my derby car storage... Another thought is to put a ad in your local newspaper," Free junk car removal, Call anytime!" It would be a good way of getting some more cars!LOL!

Purpose built recreational vehicle no different than a stock car, boat, snow mobile, atv, or jet ski. Normally you can get away with setting it on a licensed trailer.
